It's already been an exciting fall for the BHS Choir. Some highlights: On Friday, October 20th, Baldwin High School choir students showed-off their singing talents by performing at the PTA State Convention held in Pittsburgh this year. On Oct. 25th, Kate Shields, a guest speaker from Duquesne University, spoke to the choir students about careers in music. Students had the chance to discover where the jobs are and where they are not. They learned many of the requirements for auditions, applications, and majoring vs. minoring in music in college. On Saturday, Oct. 28th, Baldwin High School Choir students Jordyn Dawley, D.J. Pickell, and Alexis Zanotti joined hundreds of top vocalists from Western Pennsylvania by participating in the PMEA Honors Chorus Festival at Trinity High School. On Oct. 31st. It's not every day that the choir gets to be the audience. On Halloween, the Baldwin High School Choirs were treated to a big performance by some little characters from Baldwin's Preschool classes. During the month of October, Baldwin High School's Partners Music students participated in Halloween Dance Activities that got everyone moving to help burn off some of those Halloween candy calories! |
