Baldwin High School Piano Classes

PREREQUISITE: PIANO I or TEACHER RECOMMENDATION
GRADES: 10 through 12
CREDIT: 1 (FULL YEAR)

Using  fun and popular songs, this class transforms the Level I piano player into a more             independent Level II player.  Students learn more advanced popular and classic songs  while learning scales and advanced theory.  While enhancing their focus and self- discipline abilities, students WILL learn the following songs:  Daniel Powter’s “Bad  Day”,  “Michael Buble’s “Home”, “Open Arms” by Journey, and “Drops of Jupiter” from the band TRAIN.  Classical songs include Wagner’s “Bridal Chorus”, the theme from “Overture” from the Opera “Raymond” by Ambrose Thomas,  “Hungarian Rhapsody” from Franz Liszt and the great “Alexander’s Ragtime Band” from Irving Berlin.
