BHS Music Dept. Virginia Tour 2022
This page is designed to provide details of the Virginia Tour 2022 for performing ensemble students and parents in the Baldwin High School Music Department. In October 2021, all choir and instrumental students were sent an Interest Google Form that shared general and tentative information such as itinerary, expected costs and payments, and more. On that form, students were asked to express their interest in attending the trip. Students may still choose to participate even if not on that original Interest Form.
The BHS Music Dept. Tours are a great opportunity for your child to enhance their skills and talent in a professional performance setting that will add to the developmental skills necessary for their futures regardless of their chosen career paths. Encouraging good peer interaction, the exercising of good judgment, getting along with others, and the development of strong people skills in a safe and guided atmosphere are just some of the things promoted and closely monitored while on these tours. Students build positive social relationships and make memories that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
Note: The school district is in constant contact with local, state, and federal officials regarding the impact that Covid-19 will have on school field trips. Our travel company regularly updates us regarding the status of transportation and theme parks and how we are affected. Payments are refundable up to certain points that will be defined for you as we move forward. Trip cancellation insurance is available for purchase.
Eligible students in the Baldwin High School Choirs, Baldwinaires, Orchestra, or Band may participate in the trip.
Trip Dates: May 20-23, 2022
PARENT MEETING: Thursday, May 12th @ 7:30 p.m. at BHS Auditorium. This meeting is mandatory for students and parents/guardians. All parents and students MUST meet with the directors prior to leaving for the trip.
